Bushwalker Transfers to Bathurst Harbour & Port Davey

Seaplane and boat access to Tasmania’s most remote trails in Southwest Tasmania.

Step straight into the heart of Tasmania’s World Heritage wilderness with our flexible bushwalker transfer service. Whether beginning a multi-day trek or returning from the state’s most remote trails, we’ll get you there — safely, seamlessly, and spectacularly.

From the air, trace wild rivers, quartzite peaks, and a coastline few ever see, before touching down right at your trailhead.

Popular connections include:

  • Port Davey Track via Scotts Peak
  • South Coast Track via Cockle Creek
  • Southwest Cape Circuit via Schooner Cove
  • Custom drop-offs to Melaleuca, Bathurst Narrows and beyond

Access points:

  • Port Davey & South Coast Tracks - 40-minute seaplane flight, followed by a 5-minute tender boat transfer from Clyde Claytons
  • Southwest Cape Circuit - 40-minute seaplane flight to Schooner Cove beach landing
  • Custom drop-offs - Melaleuca, Bathurst Narrows 'Crossing', and other remote points available by arrangement

Transfers start from $560 per person one-way, with regular departures between December and April (Tasmania’s peak walking season). Flights depart from Hobart’s historic waterfront or Cambridge. Private charters (up to 8 walkers with packs, subject to payload weight and balance) are available year-round.

Fuel note: For safety reasons, fuel cannot be carried onboard. Pre-purchase shellite, methylated spirits or 230g butane canisters and we’ll have them ready for collection on arrival.
